A man who died in a Lamborghini crash on the M62 has been named as Shaan Hussain. The 20-year-old, from Bradford, died after the luxury supercar he was driving overturned on the westbound carriageway of the motorway near Kirklees. A 22-year-old woman who was also in the black Lamborghini Urus was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after the crash at around 4.20am on Wednesday, December 21. A stretch of the motorway between junction 22 and 23 was closed off for several hours as investigations were carried out. West Yorkshire Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward. WASHINGTON -- The U.S. State Department has approved the sale of an anti-tank mine-laying system to Taiwan amid the rising military threat from China . The department on Wednesday said the Volcano system and all related equipment would cost an estimated $180 million. Callie Blue, 29, was waiting tables at Gus's Diner in Sun Prairie, just outside Madison, at 6 a.m. Sunday when she started chatting with one of the few customers in the restaurant at that hour, the Wisconsin State Journal reported. He left her a $1,000 tip. The customer was Michael Johnson, president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County. Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted murder on Christmas Eve in Glasgow. A 20-year-old man was struck by a car that also collided with parked vehicles and railings before catching fire on Langlands Road at around 3.15pm on Saturday. Emergency services attended and the pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he currently remains in a stable condition. The driver of the vehicle made off. Officers are treating the incident as an attempted murder and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward. Border Force staff are beginning the second in a series of strikes at UK airports until New Year's Eve. Around 1,000 members of the PCS union, many of whom work in passport control, will walk out from 28 to 31 December. Driving examiners are continuing a rolling walkout which will continue into January. The Border Force strikes are over pay, jobs and conditions as the cost of living rises. Civil servants will join military personnel to cover the strikers at Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Glasgow airports, as well as the Port of Newhaven. Earlier strikes from 23 to 26 December caused minimal disruption. A spokesperson for Heathrow said immigration halls for travellers were "free flowing" and that the airport experienced "no issues" resulting from the first series of strikes.
