Camberwell shooting live: Updates as man fights for his life after being shot in the street - My London

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was shot on a South London street. The victim also sustained a serious head injury, during the incident on Wednesday evening (December 28) in Camberwell.

Police are investigating exactly what happened after the man was discovered badly hurt at 5.40pm yesterday evening in Church Street, near the junction with Grove Lane.

A crime scene remains in place as police investigate how he came to be so badly injured, with a forensics tent visible by the roadside.

A second large crime scene has also been set up overnight just a over a mile away in Peckham on Leontine Close after a reported shooting, although this has not yet been confirmed by police. Police say the two crime scenes are connected.
